Mother’s Day

Mother’s day gifts are all about celebrating the amazing woman who has provided you with so much love and so much care it seems appropriate to offer them the world!! Obviously that’s no quite possible; however, we have the next best thing, jewellery, bags and cosmetics. And let’s face it, these are the things that make a girls world go round anyway.

After everything you mum has offered you, it’s time to show your true appreciation and love for her with an amazing gift. I have put together a collection of handmade, unique and stylish gifts for mother’s day to give you inspiration to find that perfect gift. Whether you want to indulge her in exquisite jewellery or pamper her with coconut body shimmer or just simply browse for ideas, I’m sure you’ll find the perfect mother’s day gift.

I have also found a couple of other useful websites you could potentially find a wonderful mother’s day gift with –

A is for Affection

With Valentine’s Day looming and the all-round promise of affection that follows the flush of Valentine’s Day it’s a miracle how anyone knows what to do if they have a special occasion after this special day. However if like me you are one of the unlucky ones that does and is therefore either a bit strapped for cash or at a loss for ideas, here are some I’d like to share.

  • Surprise means “a completely unexpected occurrence” – Using the whole “I have no money” trick is always a good one when going for the element of surprise. Taking someone out for dinner, to a much nicer place than they thought is a plus, but you could always go that one step further and arrange beforehand with the restaurant to have flowers and a gift waiting at the table.
  • Do something together – get tickets to see a comedian, band or a show. As tickets for these thing usually come out many months in advance by the time it comes to the occasion you’ll be extremely thankful you bought a great gift when you actually had the money to do it! You could surprise them even more by wrapping the tickets in conspicuous manner, so that whilst it may look like you’ve bought them a photo box from Nkuku to store photo’s in, yes its a great gift, what’s inside is something that little bit extra. Not only will you get to enjoy watching their reaction through the unwrapping but you get one of the tickets for yourself!
  • A woman’s wants and a woman’s needs are two very different things – If it comes down to picking between the two always go for what she wants, not something she needs. Women drop hint’s all the time so take notes, if she decides she wants an Ipod go one step further and put all her favourite music on it for her, if she wants clothes always go for the more expensive designer kind, and if she wants jewellery make sure it comes extravagantly wrapped.

I hope this helps,

Much Love,

Megan
